A top quality lubricant that is specifically formulated for the drive-train and hydraulics of a range of construction and mining equipment is Super Lube Supreme. This oil has been developed by schaeffer lubricants, and is most suitable for lubricating front end loaders, bulldozers, haul trucks, and other similar equipment.

Drive-trains used in today's equipment are highly sophisticated, and utilize advanced materials that allow for improved power transfer. They need specially designed fluids so that friction performance, oxidation stability, wear protection, and material compatibility are improved. Super Lube Supreme actually does more than these minimum requirements; it contributes to a longer life for the friction discs in power-shift transmissions, better shift handling, and reduction of wear.

Fluids used to lubricate power-shift transmissions need to contain the right type of additive system. The wrong type will have many detrimental effects; non-metallic components are attacked, resulting in the static and dynamic friction coefficients, required for the proper operation of components, becoming altered, and sticking or slipping of the transmission will develop, as well as noise. The safety of wet brakes will be compromised, resulting in longer stopping distances, and sticking or slipping when the vehicle is parked.

Super Lube Supreme is a blend of the finest synthetic base fluids and pure paraffin base oils. Such a unique combination offers superior oxidative and thermal stability, superior resistance to thermal degradation, and reduced volatility. A special non-corrosive additive, which forms a solid lubricant film on the metallic surfaces, is mixed into this para-synthetic base fluid; it provides protection from wear and prolongs the life of the equipment.

Super Lube Supreme, in combination with the special additive, delivers many performance benefits. The friction between the non-metallic and metallic parts of a power-shift transmission becomes more stable and is better controlled. There is also an elimination of noise, and the build up of sludge and varnish, which eventually leads to damage of the seals and clutch, is prevented or removed due to the high oxidative and thermal stability of the fluid.

Super Lube Supreme's unique composition helps eliminate problems with clutch slippage, even for heavy loads and uphill driving. The clutch can be maintained at the correct setting without needing to constantly adjust the equipment. This stay-in-grade lubricant is suitable for use with all widely used elastomeric materials and seals, and possesses superb shear stability, enabling it to protect transmissions against long term fatigue.

Super Lube Supreme lubricant offers excellent resistance against rust and corrosion of copper. It also resists foaming, so that air does not get into the fluid and cause wear between metallic components from direct contact. Its exceptional fluidity at low temperatures allows vehicles to start more easily during cold weather, and better protects against wear from these conditions. Downtime is reduced, and the drain intervals are extended; this leads to longer equipment life and operation that is trouble free.

For the best quality in lubrication of power-shift transmissions, Super Lube Supreme is specially formulated for the job. It can be used in Allison transmissions, or other transmissions that need a C-4 fluid. It can also be used in Meritor or Eaton-Roadranger transmissions. However, it is not suitable for diesel engines, as the pistons will accumulate heavy deposits that will cause excessive wear on these engines.
