Lizard Man On The Prowl In South Carolina
Recently a couple in South Carolina got up to learn their car bent and mauled. Some saw the Lizard Man, a community legend who apparently terrorized a teenager in 1988, has come back. The couple might require a payday loan to get the car repaired.
Found on July 4
Leon Marshall awoke on July 4 to discover his automobile mangled and mauled. "I ran into the house and told my wife to call the police because something happened to the car," said Marshall.
"The tooth marks went completely through the fender," his wife Ada reported. "That's metal! And it just bent it up. It was like it was a piece of tissue paper."
The damage was very clear. The couple did not know what can have brought on it though. There was a long gone tale told. The community sheriff knew it well.
Story from sheriff himself
"This part here is how it all started in 1988," as reported by former sheriff Liston Truesdale who's 82 now. "We got a call to come and look at something that had mauled a car. I went out there and looked at that damaged car, and I haven't seen anything like that before." A beast several locals believed in was what the damage was blamed on.
Teenage boy has a close encounter
Around the same time the station got the call about the mauled vehicle, Truesdale claims, a 17-year-old boy reported an encounter with a beast that came to be known as the Lizard Man. The teen had to fix a flat tire while on his way home from work. He was putting away the tools when somebody made their way toward him. It had three-fingered hands and red eyes. The beast was about seven feet tall and looked like a lizard walking on two legs.
The boy then jumped into his automobile, as the tale goes, and took off. The beast jumped onto his trunk and climbed onto the roof of the speeding vehicle. He saw the creature looking through the windshield at him. The thing was then thrown off. The teen had to drive back and forth to make it take place though. His parents took two hours to calm him down after he got home and was so upset.
Doesn't appear to be lying
According to Truesdale, the boy came from a responsible family and passed a polygraph test. He also seemed like he was really scared. "He never changed his story," Truesdale concluded.
Lizard man sighting calls started flowing in. There were 50,000 individuals that visited in order to try and see the beast as the story became media madness.

The damage on Marshall's car was just the same as two that the Lizard Man supposedly mauled in 1988, as reported by Truesdale. There is still a sense of humor at least.
"Everything (around here) is laid off on the poor Lizard Man," jokes Truesdale. "But at this point, he must have grandchildren!"
Can it be an ape?
Cryptic investigator Tom Biscardi states that there is no Lizard Man. "What you've got is a primate, a thing called a swamp ape," Biscardi believes.
