The Dodge Challenger right hand drive conversion is becoming very popular but one needs to take care when changing it over. Any changes need to meet with specific requirements. The starter motor will also need to be moved to the other side to allow the steering intermediate shaft to come through.
The interior comes with a three spoke thick rimmed steering wheel and a short six speed manual gear. The seats come in cloth or leather bucket seats making this a very comfortable car to drive. The back seat can fold down giving easy access to the trunk for those much larger items that need to be transported.
The grill was taken from a charger prototype and was popular with the public. The 1970 model alone sold over seventy six thousand but was criticized by the press. This did not help with the sales and eventually the production stopped. The 1973 model however rose and close to twenty eight thousand was sold. All in all this generation of make of car sold over one hundred and sixty five thousand.
These cars came with either a hard top coupe or a convertible body. The engine was either a V8 or an I6. The V8 is an engine with eight cylinders and they are mounted on a crankcase. They are generally set at right angles to one another with four on each side. It did tend to vibrate and in the 1920s a crankshaft with heavier counterweights were added and these tended to eliminate the vibrations.
