This has three different variant, however only one variant made it to the top. This became the most favorite one mainly because of its style that is not on the other two. In simpler term, the first variant was the cool one. It somehow has this convertible vibe because of its soft top and its body was of an alpha wagon version.
The next two were still great but not that appealing in design for the customers. That could be probably because it look exactly like those which have been used on missions. They were known as the two door pickup and four door slant back.
Another reason why this automobile was very popular was due to its feature that are oddly unique yet pretty useful. It has portal gears and inboard brakes. As a result the drivetrain has a higher placement. It kind of had a wider ground clearance compared to others.
The radiator of it is even found up high. It is placed in a spot where it slops over the engine in a forward hinged hood. As a result, its air intake is of high mount making it stand a water on a waist level. Which means, there is a lesser possibility of engines dying because of flood or something caused by water.
The inside appearance and feature is even remarkable, with an option of which to be of leather seated, indeed a total package. With this characteristics, there is no wonder it was famous on the market before, if this was still available now, it can still be a best seller. This can be one in the list of greatest cars ever produced.
